Muthyala Maduvu (Pearl Valley) is a place 37 kms from Koramangala, around 45 kms from Bangalore and 30kms from Electronic city. To get to the place you will need to take the Hosur road till Chandrapura, from there take a right turn to Aanekal (or Anekal). A right turn from Aanekal will lead you into the wildness of raw nature that forms the essence of Muthyala madu. You can also head out on Banneraghatta Road, continue beyond Banneraghatta National Park and reach Aanekal. Distance from Bangalore to Muthyalamaduvu is 39.5 km and takes around 1 h 6 min.
Muthyala madu has got a wonderful waterfall, that resemble drops of pearls splashing, jutting out from the rugged face of the wall of rock and hence the name which means "Valley of Pearls". The streams and waterfalls is nested in a valley so beautifully formed by encircling set of two hill slopes, which a trekker's paradise. The source of the water is the nearby Onakanahalli Tank.
There are quite a few resorts to chose from nearby and there is a KSTDC run restaurant. Due to its verdant foliage, Muthyala Madu is popular among urbanites as a weekend retreat.
